I am a pro-MAGA, pro-Biblical-Christianity, anti-Christian-Nationalism American*.

Most people find this hard to believe, find it a contrition or don't know what that looks like.

Don't Christians realize that the real Church doesn't need America, the constitution, the American culture (or some sub-culture), or the American dream to survive?

Shouldn't the Church mourn the fact that about 90% of Americans know what the Christian Right believes, but less than 10% know the basic Gospel?

Shouldn't it make us sad when a Christian with liberal political ideas doesn't feel a part of our churches?

Shouldn't our love for the migrant trump our political opinion about immigration policy. (Yes, I do support good immigration laws and the basic idea that a country has a right to deport illegal migrants.)

Trump hosted a gay wedding at Mar-a-Lago. Scott Bessent, a homosexual is the current Secretary of the Treasury in the Trump administration. Paula White, a female preacher with very bad theology and a very shady past is Trump's spiritual adviser. So...

Are not we breaking the 3rd commandment (Taking God's name in vain) when we proclaim that Trump is God's choice, or expect our fellow Christians to support him?

Is not the Gospel more important than the USA?

BTW, Christianity is growing faster in Iran than the USA. Seems like the Church can survive without political power.

*(I was born in the USA, retired from the Army/Army Reserve, but I have been living in Peru for 18 years, and I have a Peruvian wife)
